MacDailyNews Take: Posting pictures of the box opening is a very Mac user-like thing to do. The assimilation continues…

  1. The question is “what WAS his motivation for ordering the system?”

I think many PC reviewers are so anti-Apple that they intentionally run tests on software / hardware not intended to be successful (EG Mac mini as a colo-server).

I hope that instead, Paul is in the group of reviewers who are tired of Microsoft’s “old and busted” and are interested in Apple’s “new hotness”.

  2. This is as predicted.

Between the indoctrination of the Thurrott’s of the world, the increasing number of positive articles about Reln– err, Apple technology, and the deft and swift infiltration of the ranks of Disney, Local Leader Steve J will soon be declared unstoppable.

The Relnack Council is monitoring all via a one-way petabit ethernet connection from the comfort of the Egg Palace in the capital city of Shemp. They are thus far pleased.

All hail Local Leader Steve J and the continued subjugation of the Windows drones.

“Your resistance is . . . futile yet fun for us. Make your time.”

  3. Someone please give him an iLife so he can create more compelling photocasts.

Sheesh, that flickr site is a pain.

Note to self: highlight photos, click on iWeb, and then share the page. Done in 25 seconds.

  4. He got it to use it and find ways to bad mouth it on this Windows Supersite.

He got it to tell Microsoft what to improve in Vista.

He got it to try to run Windows XP it.

He got it because his XP is 0wn3d by “haX0r”

  5. I think these photos prove it. He’s a closet machead. Because he hasn’t come to terms with this, he feels the need to berate mac users.
Don’t be afraid Paul. Come on out. There’s more of us out here. We’l accept you.

  6. It’s actually been a long time since his last derisive article about Apple or the Mac OS. So long now, I am starting to think he has really turned the corner. I could be mistaken, but to see something like this, it’s quite amusing, in a cool sort of way.

  7. Now when he starts making up reasons why Vista in a year is better than Tiger today (ignoring Leopard), then he gets no hits from me ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

I will trust MDN to warn me when he goes off like that so I can stay away.

  8. Don’t look now folks — wait a sec, you already didn’t look.

Scroll down the page linked above … WAY WAY down … and look on the right side in the section titled “Services I subscribe to”, between the Wall Street Journal and Salon.

… hmmm, maybe now that he has a Mac, he can feel comfortable enough to trash a few of those other subscriptions….

  9. Of course, Paul’s mistake was to go too near the water whilst vacationing in Florida after Katrina.

Before he knew it, he was pulled from the shoreline by aliens.

His physical form was replicated and his brainwaves patterns (such as they are) were merged with those of a superior extra-terrestrial biological entity.

Then again, I may have been watching Invasion too much…

  10. Interesting to see what he thinks about iWeb for his site and blogs…

Once he joins the party and starts to slam Windows he will be a great case study for a Mac advertisement!

  11. Well, for all the windows hype he kicks out, I don’t ever remember seeing him take pictures of his new wintel machine once it came. See, even windows users want to be mac users.
