This seems to be the most guesswork ever. Everyone is in the dark. Sure, we can speculate, but noone really knows anything. I just wish it was going to be next week instead of 3 weeks.
Hype can get boring, too. It needs to peak on June 9th, but it has peaked too early. I don’t think Apple predicted the iPhone would sell out quite this early.
How about some updated MONITORS. It’s only been, what, 5 years since the last refresh? The current lot are mummified.
Fast refresh rate.
Color accurate.
Built-in iSight.

4. Internet Tablet
no no no no no, what the hell do you think an ipod touch is? DUH, whats the point in making it too big for the pocket, but otherwise the same?
30 inch Cinema Display with a multi-touch screen, mounted horizontally.

they do get silent upgrades and use the best panels available, there will be no isight as it would sacrifice sales in studios etc.

Missed the most important one.
Forking of Mac OS X into two different versions. One for servers, desktops and laptops, one for handhelds.
The cinema displays can use integrated iSight, LCD backlighting, and/or a price drop.
Apple will launch a big ass tablecloth. You will be able to spread it out on any table or hang it on the wall. Complete touch interface. Will connect through WiFi. Will charge itself by collecting the static electricity generated by the user’s touch or from a microwave power distribution system. Can be used for TV, Keynote, Blu-Ray DVDs, as a virtual window (not Windows), functions as a web cam as well with sensor between the LEDs. Uses a flexible OLED screen. Optional remote keyboard and remote. Also imbeds thin-film speakers for an excellent audio experience.
The cinemas definitely need an update. As far as built-in isight… I don’t see that happening… I am somewhat pissed off I cannot buy an apple isight for my mac. I guess they didn’t sell enough to keep making them for the desktops.

The purchase of Dell by APPLE, for the manufacture of MAc-clones and to recover the assembly line of the displays… And Dell sharholders could be damn glad of that!!
If you check out the history of the WWDC, new hardware announcements have been the rarity, rather than the norm, with only Apple Studio Monitors, the Power Mac G5, Mac Pro and Xserve being unveiled since 2003. All predominantly PROFESSIONAL grade hardware.

Now, since this is also corresponding with the iPhone SDK there is a logical tie-in with a new iPhone announcement, as well as potential iPod Touch capacity increases with the applications also running on the same platform. However, I believe that any additional consumer hardware announcements would be highly unlikely.
I almost wouldn’t be surprised if the shuffle got dumped from the iPod line-up. I have a feeling that the next iPhone, 3G or not will be cheaper. Accordingly the iPod Touch will likely get a price reduction (and a higher capacity version at the original price), in turn other iPods may get reduced to maintain their relevance in comparison to the iPod Touch. As such, the Nano will be so close the shuffle as to make no difference.
My kids won’t leave my 3.5 year-old Dell Inspiron alone. It’s high time I let them have it. Daddy needs a REALLY new MacBook Pro. Not just another speed bump.

I hope a new Cinema Display releases. Its pathetic how Apple thinks they can charge $600 for a 20″!! Not only is it expensive, but its specs suck! My common sense says that it has to come soon, but my gut instinct says they’re going to leave it for a smaller conference or launch. WWDC is all about the iPhone.

WWDC will not be about hardware, it will be about the software; specifically, dev tools for iPhone and Mac development. I would not expect to see much beyond the new iPhone; maybe upgraded macs and mac pros…

because many people will buy a larger version of the touch if it is sold as an internet device.
a 7 inch touch that does google docs, saves to .Mac or google, is a remote for your AppleTV…… many people wouldn’t need a laptop if that was an option. especially if you could save docs right on the device and sync them latter.
my wife wouldn’t need an ibook if they made that. how many others would see it that way?
Since this is a developers conference, I predict:
1) Updated Mac Pro (maybe)
2) iPhone 2.0 (definitely)
3) iPhone software 2.0 (definitely)
4) iPhone SDK released (definitely)
5) Updated .Mac suite with cool hooks into iPhone SDK, etc. (maybe)
I don’t expect to see the new MacBook Pros until the 2009 MacWorld Expo. Oh, sure, they might give the current line a speed-bump or some other neat feature, but the fully reconfigured new MacBook Pro, with touch screen etc. … no … not until Jan 09, if then.

Wireless Turkish Delight
I’m tired of hiring about the iPhone, it’s a great phone but Apple needs to move on to something else but keep a team working on the iPhone making it better but the one thing Apple is lagging on is their Cinema Displays, The Cinema Displays hasn’t been updated sense it’s release 4 years ago that’s all I basically want to see at WWDC 2008.
1. Mac Midi
2. iTunes Pro – a professional lossless version of iTunes, whereby radio stations can subscribe to new releases and without having to keep large libraries of ‘hard’ copies of singles/albums. Also available to record stores, whereby the customer can browse albums in their totality (not just a segment) online in lossless format – and then buy a freshly manufactured album – or compilation on the spot. By this method, record stores could carry a vastly larger range of albums than would otherwise be the case (in particular, by less well known artists and genres).
My Mac can go all the way to XI.
1 3G iPhone (obviously).
2 New updated Mac Mini that catches up to the MacBook on CPU/GPU. Probably a ‘silent’ upgrade.
3 Updated Apple TV with an Atom replacing the Pentium D and other goodness (think Bluetooth).
